Looks like you might just need a new pivot shoe. I recommend our 15-180, which appears to match yours very closely. If you did need a new coil spring, see our Series 190.

Thanks so much for your response and help. I do have a follow up question....if you look at the picture you can see the coil sitting on top of the shoe, which I believe happened when the whole thing broke. I have another window of the same type in the room and there is no coil there. The shoe and coil assembly are separate. Is there a whole kit available so that I could replace the entire assembly? I haven't a clue how to replace the coil spring by itself

There is no kit for this kind of coil balance. The individual components are only sold separately. It's not as hard as it looks, though. The spring just screws to the shoe.

Concerning your other window, the spring and shoe are probably not separate. The coil spring is mounted at a specific fixed spot in the window while the shoe slides up and down when you open and close the sash. You may not just be seeing the band while it's installed.
