Coil balance replacement and pile weather stripping
I recently moved in to a house where CertainTeed windows were installed.
House was built in 1998, and some windows are drafty and harder to open. I cleaned and sprayed windows channels with anti-friction spray but the windows are still hard to open.
Please help me match pile weather stripping for both sides and top of the window, and the rubber seal that goes on the bottom.
I will order for 1 window to check fitment, and if it fits, will order for all 20.
Pics attached, thank you.
Paul
Hello,
I would recommend removing your coil balance hardware from the window to compare to the 15-192 Certainteed pivot shoe, which uses the S170 and S171 coil springs. We also carry the 15-156 spring cover and 15-157 balance drum.
As for the pivot bar, your old style is discontinued but the 26-175 was designed to specifically replace it as mentioned in the video below. Take a look and let us know if you have any questions.
As for your weatherstripping, you would need to remove a piece of wool pile to compare the backing width and pile height to our selection here. We would also need to see end profile photos of any other seals that you need uninstalled to compare to our inventory. Thank you!
