Coil balance support

A quick learner from canada says:
My balance support is a double, 2 coils. It all fell out as I took it out so I do not know how the two coils were attached to the pivot which was broken. Can you describe how the assembly looks, orientation of springs in balance support and connection to pivot. My coils appear to be T160 a 4 and a 6. Thanks

Tom from SWISCO responded:

It's tough to say only seeing the back of your pivot shoe, but it looks similar in design to our 15-111. This, in turn, is used with our Series 160 spring.

These are assembled in a pretty straight forward way. The Series 160 spring has lttile "T" shaped hooks at the end of the band, as well as a little square hole. The bottom spring hooks into the shoe, then the top spring hooks into the square hole of the bottom spring, and so on. Hopefully that makes sense.

A quick learner from canada says:
Thanks that sounds right. I actually hooked the top coil to the other side of the pivot. One coil on one side and the other coil on the opposite side. It seems to work ok. What do the 4 and 6 mean on the coils? Thanks again.

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Those numbers typically represent the strength rating of your spring. The S160-6 can carry 6.5 pounds per spring and the S160-4 can carry 4.5 pounds per spring. I believe these are what yuo need.

Thanks for the help I learned something new. The supplied pictures at the top of the page are exactly like the parts I have so it all works. Thanks
