When they are not stamped what is another way to determine the number needed to repair a sash?

Good question. The spring weight number is usually stamped near the screw hole on the spring. Do you see that number? If not, you will need to weigh your sash and let us know the weight number.

Hello the sash weighs by scale 34 pounds. Thank you Mike

Thanks for giving us that extra piece of information. For a 34 pound sash, you will need two of the S190-40 coil springs on each side of the sash along with a 15-181 double support clip, two of the 15-182 balance bushing, and of course the 15-180 pivot shoe.
