Coil balances

Question

Hello,
i have vinyl replacement windows from the previous owner. I have no idea what brand the windows are. I can not find labels anywhere. Both coil balancer coils have broken. I weighed the window and it is about 20 pounds.

Thanks for posting. This looks like the Certainteed 15-192 Pivot Shoe, which works with Series 170 and Series 171 Coil Balance springs. The Series 171 spring stacks atop the Series 170 spring. The video below explains what I mean:

Double-check the window weight. It is important to get the measurement as exact as possible. If the window weighs 20 pounds exactly, then you can use the S170-405 5 pound spring and S171-405 5 pound spring, one each for each side of the sash. This will equal 10 pounds of support on either side of the window, for a total of 20 pounds of support. Let me know if you have further questions.
