Coil for retracting window.

Question

This peace is for a window that can tilt out.  When the window tilts out a small plastic piece uses tension to hold the window in place.  The bottom of this peace is broken so the plastic pieces that used tension to hold the window in place now just pops out and the window retractor just snapped back up because of the tension of the coils.  I hope you can help.
