Coil spring balances

Question

I am looking to replace two coil spring balances on a window that is 24 1/2 x 36 and three-quarter tilt in double hung. The sash size is 22 1/2 x 18". I would see the approximate weight is about 15 pounds. This coil spring wraps up inside the pivot shoe. I don't see any stamps on the spring.

Thanks for your post! The window housing you have here reminds me of the 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot. Its design slightly differs, so you'll need to be sure to compare the dimensions to confirm that it will fit in the track.

The compatible spring is the Series 180 Coil Balance. Based on the sash weight, the S180-07 should work fine for the window but I would suggest getting an exact weight to be sure that it isn't too strong/light for the sash weight.
