A quick learner from Nj says:
Not sure how to remove the springs safely. The spring on the right side of the window snapped.

Hi there!

Take a look at our 15-180 coil balance shoe, which uses the Series 190 coil spring and compare our dimensions to yours and see if this matches what you need. As for how to remove the coil springs, take a look at the video we've attached for you below and let me know if this helps.

Hi Emily,

My window uses the 15-580 coil balance shoe and the 15-181 double support detent clip. The coil it self isn't stamped so I'm not sure if I need the 740 or 540 S190 coil balance spring. The window sash measures 36" x 29.5".

Also the window sash weighs 21.5 lbs.

Emily from SWISCO responded:

I would recommend using one S190-440 4 pound coil and one S190-740 7 pound coil on each side of the window. This would support a sash weight of 22 pounds.

Thank you for your help!
