That 1/2" backing on your wool pile is not too common. Take a look at our 58-050 and see if the 7/16" backing could work in your door. As for the height, after the wool pile is installed in the door you could try to cut it down by running a razor blade down the length. Think of it like giving it a shave. I have done this in the past when the wool pile was too tall. What do you think?
