Commercial door exterior closer

Thanks for reaching out to us, Ronald. Take a look at the 79-264 commercial door closer. These types of closers can be installed on the inside or the outside of the door. The installation hole centers are at 9-1/16". Take a look and see if you can use your existing holes in the door.

Thanks for the additional information. You have an older version of a surface mounted door closer and I'm not sure that an exact replacement is available any longer. That being said, the 79-264 basically operates the same as the one you have now. 

Be sure to compare the dimensions to determine if the mounting hole centers match up to the ones on your door closer. If not, you will need to drill new holes to install it, which should be fine, so long as your are following the directions included with the closer.
