Constant Force Balance Replacement

Question

This balance comes from a PGT WinGuard SH5500 Tilt Window installed in 2020. Sash is impact rated, 49"w x 24"h. Tilt window constant force balance looks similar to (2ea) Swiss Code S161 stacked one on top of the other. Each plastic balance module is labeled 12. The combined measurement of the balance is 4 3/8"h x 1"w x 3/4"deep.

Hi John,

Thanks for writing in! Your coil balance assembly more closely resembles our Series 210 Coil Balances. Since both of your housings are stamped with a 12, you'll need the S210-24. The compatible bracket for this assembly is the 16-030 Clear Bracket. Take a look at the dimensions below to confirm that these are the correct replacements.

The jamb spreaders are part 75-069.
