Can you look at this constant force/balance and tell me what parts I need to keep it in the tension position

I'm afraid it's not possible to identify what you have based on these photos. Too much of the balance assembly is obscured. This service requires clear and unobstructed photos of all relevant parts.

If I had to guess, I'd say this might be a Simonton window. If so then the original assembly is discontinued and no longer made. We have a modern alternative that will work if you don't mind doing a little retrofitting. The video below will go into more detail. This will explain exactly what parts you need to buy and how you can install them in your window. Just note that you will need the exact weight of your sash on hand in order to calculate the proper spring strength. You want to divide that weight by how many springs support the sash, then pick accordingly.

This is of course only relevant if you have a Simonton window. That is just a guess on my part, so keep that in mind.
