Constant force balance

Handy Person from MA
Left toilet spring balance the cartridge looks like it is in tact the spring is broken a few inches from the upper sash holder which has 2 prongs that held the spring which has 2 holes. On it looks like an 8 K so I assume 8 lb I don't see and 8 kg then I'd assume it would have been 17lb. The wi dow is a 31.5 x 56.5 double pane upper and lower vinyl windows. Tilt. The windows have a lowes sticker on them if that offers any clue. Didn't find any other stamps or decals or stickers. These also look fa tory installed as there's no cut outs on the sash I have to use a spreader or cut a notch. I'm not going to touch it until identified. For now I have a board and a finger clamp that allows the tenant to prop the window safely.

Thanks for writing in! Your coil balance housing looks similar to our 15-087 coil housing pivot. Carefully review and compare the dimensions to those shown below to determine if this is the correct replacement. I am confident these are the replacement you'll need.

The coil housing pivot is compatible with the Series 180 coil balance spring. Specifically, you'll need the S180-8 8lb coil since your balances are stamped with an 8.

The plastic mounting bracket that secures the coil in the window channel is part 16-031.
