Hi, I wanted to include some additional info on this prior request for weatherstripping replacement on this aluminum sliding patio door, see attached pics. So basically the sliding panel when closed will fit into the wall channel (aluminum). On the inside rail there is a strip of "pile" 1/4" wide (not sure how it is attached) and on the middle rail (up against the outside of the movable door) there is a weatherstrip that is slightly loose, again not sure how it is attached, maybe a kerf or press fit. It is 5/8" deep and 1/2" wide, has a pile strip in the movable door side and a robber bubble strip on the outer side. I haven't tried to pry it off for fear of damaging it.
The door is a Gerkin aluminum frame door, according to the Gerkin rep, it was actually manufactured for Gerkin by a company called Wells Co (no longer in business).
Any help/advice on replacing the weatherstripping would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Greg
