Converting a block and tackle balance to a spiral balance.

A quick learner from USA says:
Hello, I am hoping you can help with a window repair project.

I have a home with 8 vinyl windows (no manufacturer name I can find), all of which have broken (cheaply made!) balances.
The balances are spring loaded, and mostly plastic parts that deteriorated over their 15-year life.
The window sashes are 29? tall. I have included pics of the bottom of the sash, with the 'catch bolt?' that connects to the balance.
The balance channels are approx 1.25" wide, .75" deep, with a .75" opening that faces the sash.I would prefer to replace these with Spiral balances, as they seem more reliable. Is that an option?

Good question. From the information you provided, you may be able to use our S600-28 spiral balance with a red tip along with our 15-188 pivot shoe. I recommend you first look over our media guides to see if you would like to continue with the change over process. One last thing. If you could please let us know the length of your Arrow balance, that would greatly be appreciated.
