The shoe, in this assembly, can be replaced with the 15-180 Coil Balance Shoe. To determine if it is the correct replacement, you'll need to carefully review and compare the dimensions below.
It uses the Series 190 Coil Balance Spring, which is attached to the shoe with the 33-073 screw. To determine the correct coil weight options, you'll need to look for stamps/markings on the springs. If they are missing or hard to read, please see the video tutorial below for instructions on how to select them.
The one marked with 532 can likely be replaced with the S190-540 which is a 5lb coil.
The 15-181 Double Support Detent Clip, used along with the 15-182 Balance Bushing, anchor the springs to the window track.
window 1 weight is 8 lbs (you said 2 5lb coils) ?
window 2 weight is 12lbs ( should we get 2 7 lb coils)?
Thanks for confirming. For the 8lb sash, you would need the S190-440, they are 4lb coils. These assemblies would only use one coil (one per side), so you can use the 15-186 for the support clip.
The 12lb sash can also use the 4lb coils, if these assemblies use the 15-181 Double Support Detent Clip.
