Corner Keys for Old Triple Track Windows

A home owner from New Jersey says:
Hi,

I have old triple track windows and am in need of right corner keys - 1 for a glass storm, 1 for a screen, and extras for future damage. I have provided pictures of a glass storm and screen where the right corner keys are intact. Please let me know if you are able to supply these parts.

Thank you,
Mary

Hello Mary and thank you for posting. Please take a look at product 95-094. Compare your top tilt key to our tilt key and let us know if this is a good match for you.
A home owner from New Jersey says:
Hi Mike, Thank you for your reply, which prompted my son and I to try and compare the measurements for 95-094 against the windows. It looks like 3/16 is too wide for the track, rather 5/32 seems to be a better fit. Upon reviewing other options, we saw that 95-015 measurements were closer. Here are my questions, if you can kindly respond again:
1) what are your thoughts for 95-015, given the pictures I previously sent
2) assuming we get the part right, is there a different part for the right corner vs. the left corner. I need right corners, however I do want to order spare parts for future.
3) do you know anyone in the NJ area that would do the installation of the corner keys

Thank you!
Mary

My concern is the size of the corner key itself. The tilt pin can be filed down to the shape you need in your storm window track. You would need to remove the corner for the screen frame to get accurate measurements of the legs to make sure you find the best match. That said, the 95-015 is a very common corner key that was used in a lot of different older storm sashes. That's not a guarantee, but it's a good place to start at the very least.

If you're not sure about doing the repair yourself, any glass shop in your area should be able to help. Take note you will most likely need to have the screen mesh replaced, since it needs to be removed to fix the corner.

There is sometimes a difference between right and left, but it varies from part to part. In the case of the 95-015, it can work on either side.
A home owner from New Jersey says:
Thanks Dave! I ordered 2 of 95-015 and 2 of 95-094, just to give them both a try. Hopefully one is the right fit, at which point I will order more. Can't beat the cost - a lot cheaper than replacing 27 windows!
