Correct Balance to Purchase

Good Morning,

I hope all is well.

I have a double hung window, where the top sash will not stay up and closed.

We measured the spring balances and ordered the same ones, 31" x 3/8", but after installation, the window would not remain up.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Hello,

It sounds like you may be referring to spiral balances but I do not see any orders under your email address. If they are spiral balances, did you charge them before installation as shown in the video below? If not, that would be why the window is not staying up.

If that's not the issue, please get back to us with photos of your original balance uninstalled, as well as the product code and color option of the replacements you purchased. Thank you.
