Hi,
I am trying to find the correct lock for a sliding patio door for my daughter's Condo in Somerset, N.J. It appears as though the current lock & keeper combination was done "after the fact" but I can't tell for certain. I recently installed your part 81-027 roller assembly in this door and it was a perfect fit. We've also been advised that the door is most likely a Silver Line door from a local manufacturer of the same name. We would like to replace the existing lock and also refresh all of the existing seals with whatever you recommend. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hello, Paul! Thanks for your patience during this busy season. We can definitely help with these parts. So, your handle set looks like a match for our 82-003. This is a pretty old design for equally old doors but I bet you already knew that by now. It has the same hole spacing as yours and should work well with the door frame as-is. The keeper you have on your door now looks like our 85-001, but this particular piece is only designed for screen doors. I've never seen it used for a patio glass door set like this. The 82-003 handle set that I recommended above is usually compatible with our 89-007. Now, to be completely honest, there isn't a whole lot of difference between these two keepers. They look like they function in more or less the same way, being just little hooks and all. I've never personally mixed and matched them so it's entirely possible that your current keeper will be compatible with our 82-003. I just don't know it for a fact. Something to keep in mind moving forward. It's ultimately up to you. |
