Correct length of balance rod

Over the years the rods have been changed and i'm not sure if the proper length rod was installed. what is the correct length of the rod for a 25 inch window?

Many thanks for your correspondence. This depends on two things. First, what is the exact glass height of the sash? And is this an aluminum or vinyl window? Let us know this information and I'm certain we can help you find a good balance for this window.

It's an aluminum window. The glass height is 21.5 inches with a 2 inch aluminum frame on the top and bottom

Thanks for getting back to us. It appears you have a non-tilt window, so chances are you need S500-24 Non-Tilt Window Spiral Balance. There should be a bracket attached at the bottom corner of the sash to hook on to the Series 500 balance. Please review and let us know what you think.

Yes it's a non-tilt window. The S500-24 looks like a fit.
