Correct sash weight for S795-26

Question

Hello! I am needing to replace this piece of my window. The window will not stay up and the old balance is busted. My only problem is that I do not know the sash weight . How do I know which one to get? I need a 26" but need to know which letter to get.

Usually these balances have a number stamped on the metal channel. You can use that to determine which option you have. However, it might be a good idea to remove your sash entirely and place it on a scale to get the weight. The S795-26 has a chart that lists each option and how much weight each can support. Simply cross reference your sash weight with that chart and you'll have your answer!
