Windows are very heavy to open.

I believe they are out of business.
Probably purchased 1988. I bought the house 3 years ago.
I don't see how the windows can be removed.

Hello there!
Thank you for reaching out to us. It sounds like you have a non-tilt window where the window sash isn't designed to be removed. Could you open the window and show us the bracket or attachment at the bottom of the window sash? Can you also confirm the diameter of the metal tube?
