Cover and handle

Question

Hi - I am replacing covers and handles on several windows at home.  Two windows have the cover shown, and an 11/32"crank.  Should this cover just pop off or is there a set screw?  And which is the right replacement cover in white?  Thanks!  Judy

Hi Judy. Unfortunately some of these awning operators were designed so that the cover was never meant to be removed. It looks like you have something like the 39-083 or 39-140, depending on the 'wingspan', and unfortunately that's the case with these two models--the cover simply can't be replaced without replacing the entire operator mechanism. I'm sorry for this inconvenience. At the very least the crank handle can be replaced individually--the 39-114L would do the trick. I apologize again there's not a better solution here.
