Crank Replacement

A handy person from VA says:
Will a 39-097 crank work on a Pella casement window that previously used a 39-175 operator?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Unfortunately, I don't think it will work very well, no. The design of the arms are just a little too different. It may install on the sill without issue, and it may even connect to the sash, but when you start winding it to close the window you will likely have trouble closing the window all the way.

On the other hand, this is just an educated guess. I've never personally tried it before. What I can tell you with confidence is that Pella parts are very, very specific and in my experience you cannot use an alternative replacement part for any given project. They design these a particular way and they do not offer you any wiggle room.
