Crank assembly?
The operator/crank to my casement window screwed off the spindle recently and I am not sure how much needs replacement - or if anything needs replacing? See attached. Let me know if you need anything else for ID'g parts. These are from an older Anderson Window.
Thanks so much@!
Looks like the worm gear stripped out. This can't be repaired, unfortunately; you need an all new operator.
We can definitely help, but I will need to see a picture of your old operator either removed from the window, or I at least need to see as much of the complete mechanism in one shot as you can show me. That will allow us to match it up to something in our inventory. The photo you have in your first post shows the base, which is helpful, but it only tells half the story. We have to see the rest of it.
You can do whatever is easiest. We just need to see as much of the entire mechanism as possible. The more details accounted for, the easier it will be to match it up to something in our catalog.
Here's what I have... I am curious though how I'd remove it and then replace with the new operator...The window frame has been mortised to accept the operator, but there are for phillips head screws to remove that are in-line with the frame and would be difficult to remove. Any ideas on the process for replacing the assembly?
I send a few others over and a video showing the operation issue...
Thanks,
Mike
Thanks,
Which one do I need - 031 or 032?
