After receiving the new handles I tried putting them on the mechanism they fit on the stem ok buy at the base of my handle there was a gap about 1/8 or so . I tried the new handle to open and close the window and worked ok but the handle seemed loose and shakey . Should I have Used a rubber mallet but I needed some advice on that part.
