Crank-to-open steel window replacement parts

Quick Learner from USA

Hi,

My name is Ed and I own a six story brick residential building in Brooklyn Heights, NY. The building was built in 1937 and has the original steel crank windows and doors. I am trying to replace a number of crank-to-open window openers that have varying lengths and widths. I am sending you a set of photographs for one of the cranks to see if you might have this type of crank-to-open window replacement part. I would appreciate hearing back from you.

Thank you,

Ed

Thank you for contacting us, Ed. This looks like an old Hopes operator. These aren't made anymore, and I don't think anything we have can work as an exact match. The closest we have is maybe our 39-353, though this will require some alteration of your sill to install properly. It also only comes in one size, which means that if it does work, you won't be able to use it to replace this shorter operator in your example pictures. I'm sorry that we can't offer a better option.
