Crank window - mechanism failure

Question

I have an older crestline installed window. The crank is no longer working - can't open or close the window. It has a pin that should go in to line up with the gears so the crank will do it's work but I cannot get that back in to its correct place. I am wondering if I should just try to get a new crank and install that. I have pictures I can provide but I don't see a way to incorporate those directly in filling out this contact form so if you would like those, just email me and I will send them back in my reply.

Thanks for reaching out! This window operator has become stripped, so you'll need to replace the entire assembly. Unfortunately, this type of damage is irreparable.

I'm happy to recommend a replacement for it but I'll need to see its arm(s) and how the operator attaches to the bottom of the swinging window sash.
