This is a picture of top middle & bottom of balance 28" in. looked at a few online 770 seems to be upgraded version, but further lookn  seen to b  block and tackle

Hello! You're correct, the Series 770 is the modern replacement for your balance. You have an old rod type balance, which is an obsolete part. They haven't made these in years. Our modern Series 770 should work perfectly well with no alterations, you just have to make sure to weigh your sash on a scale to get the appropriate stamp option.
