Custom Balance inquiry

Can you help me identify and price replacement window balance parts? have seven windows and would like to replace all of the balancers. At present only one balancer on a family room window is actually broken. My concern is all of the windows are old and I would like to replace all if they are available.

I attached a photo showing the measurement you referenced. mine measures 7/8" (0.875) not 1" or 1 3/32".

The family room has three windows, see photo for window height.

The kitchen has two windows, see photo for window height.

The dining room has two windows, see photo for window height.

All windows are the original builder installed and they all look similar. I will probably verify they are the same but need information on how to remove the other windows properly so that I don't damage them.

Please look at the emails and let me know what balancers are available and how much they are.

Let me know if there are any other questions.

Thanks for reaching out to us! I am confident we can provide you with the replacements you'll need for each window balance you need but I'll need to confirm a few details before we can move forward.

The length I'll need confirmed is the length of the channel, not including the top and bottom attachments. I'll also need to know the stamps/markings from each of the channels, as this is used to determine the weight range each balance should be able to support.

Take a look at the two video tutorials tagged below. We give a demonstration on how to remove the balances as well as what we look for to identify them.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any other hardware repair questions you might have.

The channel, not including the top and bottom attachments, is 31 inches.

For now I only plan to replace some of the balancers.

Can you give me an estimate for one or two balancers?

Also, I need the plastic piece shown in the attached photo and attached to the bottom of the window as it is broken.

Thanks for confirming this information. Although, I'll still need to know the either the stamp from the balance channel or the exact weight of the sash. The stamp is what helps to determine the weight range the balance should be able to support. Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with a quote for the balances without this information.

I'm sorry to say we would not be able to provide you with a replacement for the plastic piece installed at the bottom of the window. Our sincerest apologies that we cannot be of help with this part of your repairs.

Please let know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the photo. I've forwarded a link with a quote for (2) of these balances; there is a quantity minimum for custom assemblies. You'll be able to use the link to review the quote and place the order.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any future hardware repair projects you might have.
