Anderson Narroline sash balance on 40 year old windows

D14. 7p 27 674 Anderson Narroline sash balance. Windows are approximately 40yrs old. Need replacement for both left and right sides.

Andersen's 7p 27 balance got numbered "24-737" in SWISCO's catalog.

Ben,
One last question. Looking at the pictures and video of the 24-737 balance I noticed it has a thin metal flap extension on the side opposite the strings. If you look at my pictures the balance on that side is full thickness and my wood sash does not have that slight indentation for that to slide into thus making it completely flush. Your thoughts?

Yes, John, Andersen did make a slight change to their box balances. There are directions from Andersen included in the package with the 24-737 balance. You will need to trim off a piece of wood in the header to install the new balance, but as I said, Andersen lays the process out for you in the instructions.
