Defective window balance mechanism for lower window

A handy person from Dallas Tx says:
No markings on the vinyl window or frame. The metal window locks carry the name CertainTeed.
The lower window will not remain in an elevated position, when released it drops back to the bottom of track in freefall.
Looking at the side channels I can see metal spring coils in the channel on both sides. On the right side coils appear at top and bottom of lower window channel. On left side only at top.
I did not remove the plástic fitting from channel, I was not sure if I could get it back or close:lock window again. Hopefully the pictures will tell the story. We have four windows with only one in this condition. None of the other three have coils exposed in the channels.
Fyi, Isent an earlier post about broken window latches . Thank you.

Hello,

It's possible that you might have the 15-192 pivot shoe, which uses the Series 170 and Series 171 coil springs but you will need to remove the original assembly to confirm. See our related videos for assistance. Thanks for posting!

A handy person from Dallas Tx says:
Great, thank you. Let me give removal a go. I will let you know and send some pics. It is cold now so not too keen to keep window open while I attempt removal. Warmer on Friday.
A handy person from Dallas Tx says:

Casey, hello again. I removed the broken spring assembly and took the following photos. Can you please confirm what replacement parts I need. All the other windows work fine.

Thanks

David

This pivot shoe with a rectangular plastic cam is no longer available but our Certainteed 15-192 pivot shoe, which uses the Series 170 and Series 171 coil springs, should work as a replacement. Take a look and thanks for posting!
