Determining color tip selection

Question

Sirs:

Have 31" spiral balances with red tip, but every window in house falls down immediately. Weight of the window sash is 20 lbs. Would it be helpful to select the
blue tip balances to get better, longer performance?

Hello Eric. I would hold off on replacing the balances for now. Our red-tipped S600-31 spiral balance holds a sash weight range of 7-29 pounds. There is a possibility you may just have to charge them with a charging tool such as our 75-006.
