Did I order the correct parts?

Home Owner from Palmdale, California

I ordered 89-043, 89-042, and 82-080.

My door is missing the striker plate. I attached the following pictures of the outline of the striker plate is about 6" in length and about an 1" in width.

Did I order the correct striker plate 89-042?

Does 89-043 go into 89-042 and is it a requirement?

I tighten the screws that hold the bracket too hard and I ended up going through the bracket that holds the handle to the sliding door. Is this the correct handle 82-080? How come it doesn't come as a D shape? I also measured the space between the screws that hold the handle is 4 15/16".

The 82-080 is a newer version of your handle, which is an old model that isn't made anymore. As for the proper strike plate, I can't confirm whether the 89-042 can work for you. It is compatible with both the 82-080 and 89-043, but without your original strike to use as a reference, I can't be sure that it will fit in your door.

Since you already ordered it, you may as well wait and see how it works out. If it ends up not fitting, let me know.

Will this fit door thickness of 1 1/2"? If not what is the correct product number to refer.

1-1/2" thick might be a little too big for the 82-080, which is designed specifically for 1-3/8" thick doors. Unfortunately, we don't have an alternate version for 1-1/2" doors; the 82-080 is the only size we have. I apologize for the inconvenience.
