Did I purchase the wrong sash?

Hello! After a lot of research I purchased two new window sashes, 26" Series 385 Channel Balances, but I suspect I was wrong. The 26" part is correct but I think the spring is too strong. My sash only weighs 18.2 lbs.
Attached are photos of the old sash. Can you help me ensure I have what I need?

Hello there. Is the bottom shoe 1-3/32" deep, as shown below? If so, the S385-26 was indeed the right choice.

I suspect the issue is you chose too strong a stamp option. 2540 will support a window that is 19 through 25 pounds. This results in balances too strong for your window. Choose instead 2530, which designates a balance that supports a sash between 15 and 19 pounds.
