Difference between 40-049 lock and 40-089

HI will the 40-049 replace the papaiz lock it looks the same except the papaiz has a key for the out side and in side the lock i have is about 15 to 20 years old what is the differance between the 40-049 and the 40-089

The 40-089, Key Tumbler Tumbturn, is the key cylinder for the 40-049 Complete Mortise Lockset. If you have an older model 40-049, then the 40-089 key cylinder will not operate the lock, since the company made a slight change in them. If you need a new key cylinder, it may be better to change over the complete lock.
