Difference between 70-008 and 70-009

Question

Is the shaft that goes thru the screen frame on the 70-009 and 70-008 the same thickness with only the top being a different size. I don't know what the thickness of the top on my old pins are. If the shafts are the same thickness then as long as the hole the top goes into fits the top I think either would work, does that sound correct?

Yes, the shafts are the same diameter, but the heads are different. Do you have any old pins handy that you can measure at all? Perhaps on an identical window elsewhere in the house?
