Difference between the 81-098 and 81-249

I am preparing to order Glass Door Roller Assemblies from you. Our Pella Sliding Glass Doors were purchased and installed in Aug 1980 Your online catalog seems to list two roller assemblies as suitable replacements: 81-098 and 81-249. Other than cost (the 81-249 is about half), what is the difference? Is the 81-249 an inferior product?

Thanks for the response Donna. In your estimation is the quality of the generic replacement 81-247-9 as good as the genuine Pella 81-098? Are the construction and materials the same? It is hard to tell by looking at the photos.

Honestly, it hard to tell with the samples of each in hand. They appear to both be solid replacements, the Pella version does appear to be a step above the generic however.
If I was going to personally choose I would go with the original Pella, it is such a hassle to remove the door and actually replace the assembly that I would want to be sure I was using the best product available.

Thanks. My curiosity is piqued. I may order some of each to determine myself.
