Different thicknesses for this Multi-Point Striker

Are there different thicknesses to the multi-point striker? The lock on my sliding door doesn't reach the striker, and the door doesn't lock. Thank you.

Hi! This looks like our 82-238 lock. Your problem sounds like the lock is out of adjustment.
To fix this, I would check the alignment in the door. You might need to adjust the rollers so that the patio door is plumb with the door jamb. My other thought is to make sure that your keeper, 89-042, is adjusted so that it lines up with the lock, and so that the 89-043 cover plate is on the striker. Without the 89-043 strike plate cover, the lock will not operate properly.
