I was wondering the dimensions of the device. Specifically because I measure for glasses on occasion and the distance between where the door swings open and the glass is about 8 inches.

The entire base of the caliper is 11" and the arms are 4-1/4" from the base of the caliper. The actual scale measures up to 4". Hope this helps!
