Hello, here is a picture of the malfunctioning part. Sorry, I don't have picture of it out of the track but I thought you might be able to answer a question about this. I think I need the 15-087 part. What I am trying to figure out is, why would I need part 15-086? Or maybe I am totally off regarding the parts I need.
Thank you for any help you can give. I found a treasure when I found your website!
Thanks,
Darin

Hi, Darin. The 15-087 and 15-086 do look like they match up. You only need to replace what's broken, though. If your 15-086 is undamaged, there's no reason you can't re-use it, thankfully! As well, you didn't mention if you need a coil spring or not. Check out our Series 180 coil spring if you do. This is the most commonly used coil Series for the 15-086 and 15-087.

Thank you for your assistance, I think I will go ahead an d get the coil spring too. I still need some clarification, a coil spring can go in both part 15-086 and 15-087 right? Why couldn't I just put the coil in part 15-087 and forget about using the tandem coil housing? Hope that makes sense. Thanks again.

Yes, the springs would go in both the 15-086 and 15-087. I would not recommend having the spring just sit in the channel without anything to support it.If your original 15-086 isn't damaged, though, there's no reason you can't reuse it.
