Do I need new pivot bars?

Question

I have simonton double hung windows. How do you know when you need to replace the pivot bar? If I do need to replace it, could you identify which part I need to get? Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out to us! Identifying whether you need to replace your pivot bars is in fact very simple: they will be physically and visible damaged.

Yours look to be in good condition still, so I see no reason why they can't continue to be used. If you had any doubts, of course, you should remove one entirely to examine the full body. That will allow you to verify whether or not they're in need of replacement.
