need to order bottom track 23-240. doesn't say if it comes with matching screws?

This track is not sold with the compatible screws. You'll either need to hold on to your existing screws or you can purchase screws from our website. Start with taking a look at our 33-300 Assorted Screw Pack.

The profile is different to my bottom track,i.e width 1inch wider but the distance between wheels is good. I assume 23-240 track will work?

Since the distance for the wheels is a match, this track should work fine as a replacement for your closet door. The outer portion of the track just won't extend as far.
