Does 40-150 rotate in both directions?

Question

Does part #40-150
have an internal spring that rotates in both directions to return the outside lever to the neutral position.
My lockset works fine except the internal latch spring broke. The hole spacing is 1-3/4" like the picture shows. I am a retired contractor, this is for my home.

Yes, the 40-150 Inside Handle has the spring. The outside handle does not have a spring. The inside handle keeps the handle centered.
