Hello, regarding the 70-218 Pella knife latch, I think this is the replacement part I need, but there should be left and right versions. Do these come in pairs or is there a way to specify L/R when ordering?

The 70-218 is specifically non-handed. There is no left or right hand version. Are you sure this is what you have? If you have a left and right hand version of your latch that are different from one another, I don't think the 70-218 is a match. If you want, you can take a few pictures of what you have and upload it here for us to see and we can try to find something.

I found the one that fell out, see photos. The grid is 0.25", the width of the edge tab is 9/32".

It looks like the 70-143P might be what I need. The pattern of the retaining clip is different, but the dimensions on your photo match. What is the width of the finger tab?

I agree, the 70-143P looks like a better match. The width of the finger tab is 9/32". What do you think?
