Does the 81-149 hold in place after adjustment?

I'm looking at the 81-149 tandem rollers to replace rollers on my 8' wooden slider. Only 1 section slides and that is 4'...
I purchased rollers from a local Menards and they fit but do not hold adjustment. Do the swisco rollers hold in place once adjusted?

The 81-149 is designed to stay in place after it has been adjusted, yes. All rollers are designed that way. What would the point of the adjustment be, otherwise? The roller you were working with was likely defective.
