Doesn't slide, horrible screeching

Question

I believe the sash is broken, but unsure. Have to force window to move and it makes horrible screeching noise. Only making on the sash is 29 5 PV. There is no identification anywhere on windows for manufacturer. White vinyl, single hung windows. Any assistance is much appreciated!

Thanks for posting! The balances you have here are an extended travel channel balance. The replacements will need to be custom assemblies. To identify the correct replacements, I will need to see just one more detail. May I please see a photo of the hook/clip attached to the bottom shoe? This is important for how the balances attach to the window channel.

I'll also need to know the exact number of balances you intend to purchase to confirm pricing and availability. There is a quantity minimum of (2) balances.

Your top sash guide resembles the 18-171 Stepped Sash Guide. Be sure to double check the dimensions to determine if this is the right replacement.
