Door Latch Issue

A home owner from Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227 says:
The attached photo is the locking mechanism that currently doesn't work. I have been unable to keep the door closed or locked .I am not certain whether I need a longer tung or if you have issues of this nature over the years. These locks are used on a number of screen doors on my residence without any issues with the exception of this particular one.

See our 40-188 Lever Lockset. The mortise lock seems to be the same design. Just review the dimensions to confirm. Unfortunately it is not sold separately from the handle set. I apologize for any inconvenience.
