Door Latch malfunction

Question

Marshall XO Vinyl Slider Door - see photo of invoice.
It seems like maybe a spring or such is broken because the catch does not automatically come back out as seen in the photo. I have to use something like a pencil or small screwdriver to draw it out.

Thank you for reaching out to us! Our 82-218 comes to mind but have a look and see how the specifications compare with yours. To check if the mortise lock is the culprit, try manually 'throwing' the mortise lock with a slotted screwdriver. If it doesn't budge, then the mortise lock needs to be replaced.
