Door Rollers

Question

I'm tring to find the correct part to fit a sliding door from around 1979. Our home was built in 1979 and the door(s) are original to the home. The only sticker I can find on the doors says, "General Aluminum Products, Charlotte, NC," and "Care Free Products."

I would like replace the rollers in at least two identical doors and possibly a third. I would need 6 in total. If there is a better roller that would fit the same doors, I would consider it, too.

Your roller resembles the 81-004. Take a look and compare the dimensions below to your assembly. Note that our part does not have the same protrusions on the side of the housing. That's not necessarily a deal breaker but is something to keep in mind since they are sometimes used to stabilize the roller in the door frame. Thanks for posting.
